but if the subnet ID is not all "1", there will be some difference
another point, if you try to broadcast on a whole network, you might not achieve your aim since most rooter would not allow broadcasting on the whole network, they would limit the broadcast under a subnet. so in such cases, when you try to broad cast to the whole network, the effect would be the same as if you were broadcast in the subnet where your host locates.
