初学linux,想用locate这条命令查文件,可是出现问题,请高手帮小弟一下忙

我用的是redflag4.0,当我输入 locate *.html时;提示:warning could not open dataase:/var/lib/slocate/slocate.db:no such file or directory.该如何解决呢,在root用户下怎么create the database?

su 到 root,然后输入updatedb,等待大概3-5分钟吧,它自动会完成.之后就可以用locate命令了.
